The mayor of Middlesbrough says there are still "details to be confirmed and worked out" regarding the introduction of “town guards”.
Tees Valley Conservative Mayor Ben Houchen set out plans for the Middlesbrough Development Corporation (MDC) to, in effect, have its own police force in Middlesbrough town centre, during an appearance on BBC Radio Tees on Wednesday September 3.
