A 38-year-old man is due to appear at court tomorrow charged in connection with the assault of police officers and another man during an incident in Stockton.
Police were called to Hartington Road in the town yesterday, September 3, where Kane McCallan, of no fixed address, was arrested and transported to police custody.
Following a period of questioning, he was charged with three counts of actual bodily harm and one count of assaulting an emergency worker. He was remanded in custody to appear at Teesside Magistrates' Court on Friday.
The charges relate to police officers responding to reports of a man being assaulted at approximately 2pm on Wednesday, 3 September. While on Hartington Road, three officers sustained various injuries while attempting to restrain and detain a man.
