Hurricane Kiko, a strong Category 4 storm, weakened slightly overnight but could re-intensify as it continues moving west across the Eastern Pacific well east-southeast of Hawaii.

As of 5 a.m. today, Kiko was about 1,470 miles east-southeast of Hilo and 1,675 miles east-southeast of Honolulu, with maximum sustained winds near 130 mph and higher gusts, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami. The system is currently moving west at about 9 mph and is expected to maintain this general track through tonight before gradually turning west-northwest on Friday.
