ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (WJHL) — Traffic near the Wilbur Dam Road bridge replacement project will shift to a new bypass road starting Sept. 17.
According to a news release from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), the traffic pattern will be in place until the project is completed.
The TVA stated that brief disruptions to traffic may take place near the project site. Motorists are asked to slow down and follow traffic markers.
The bridge replacement project is expected to be completed in 2027.
