YOUNGSTOWN Security has been increased at East High School for the day after a bomb threat was reported at the school Thursday morning.

A spokesperson for Youngstown City Schools tells 21 News law enforcement responded immediately and the building was placed on lockdown. However, investigation revealed the threat to be non-credible.

Classes are taking place as normal, but the district has added a larger security presence at the school following the threat.

The district did not provide any information on who the bomb threat could have come from or if any charges will be filed.
