BUCKTOWN — A development pitched for the northern section of the former Lincoln Yards site will include more than a dozen high and mid-rise buildings, almost 50 townhouses and single-family homes and an extension of the 606 Trail, according to plans shared by its developer Wednesday.
If all necessary city approvals move forward, the first phase of construction will kick off “by this time next year,” JDL Development CEO Jim Letchinger told neighbors in Wicker Park Wednesday.
Known as Foundry Park, the development site is located mostly east and north of the Chicago River in Lincoln Park, although it will include two buildings west of the river on Elston Avenue in Bucktown.
