A Livingston Parish Sheriff's deputy has been terminated and another demoted after a video surfaced of the deputies and a police dog arresting a man.

The video, which depicts a suspect on the ground, with one arm held by an LPSO deputy and the other by a police K-9 unit, prompted the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office to conduct an internal affairs investigation.

Sheriff Jason Ard said in a statement that the deputies involved were disciplined for violations of policy and procedure of the office, and a criminal review is underway.
