Madison resident Kasia Janus watched most of the three-episode Netflix documentary series about the unsolved 1982 Chicago Tylenol murders, which killed her dad, aunt and uncle along with four others.

"Cold Case: The Tylenol Murders," released June 26, 2025, recounts the tragedy involving Extra-Strength Tylenol bottles purchased in the Chicago area that included capsules laced with potassium cyanide. In addition to seven deaths, the poisonings caused widespread panic and eventually led to the implementation of tamper-evident packaging on many medications and other food and drug products.
