EAST GRAND FORKS – Despite a brisk evening, the East Grand Forks community was out in full force to support local leaders, city government officials, schools, sport teams and small businesses at the East Grand Forks Showcase on Wednesday.
In between restaurant row and the Red River were many booths and activities where the people of East Grand Forks had the opportunity to get to know its city in a more intimate way. It was a family function in many ways, between the bounce house, sandbox and police truck that were all explored by local children. The event had the goal to knit a tighter community while providing faces to names of who runs the city.
“I think a lot of our community is not aware what the local government does provide for them," East Grand Forks Police Chief Mike Hedlund said
