LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The United States Army Corps of Engineers said the nearly one million square feet Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, is now closer to completion.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers partnered with the Veteran’s Administration to transform the 34-acre site off Brownsboro Road four years ago.
The $840 million center will offer everything from emergency room services to mental health care support to an estimated 45,000 military veterans in and around the Commonwealth.
“It’s going to offer at least 36 different specialized skill care specialty areas for the men and women who served our nation,” said Ben Bruder, with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Bruder added multiple construction teams are working nearly around-the-clock to get the facility, which replace
