MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) - The courts have rejected a plea agreement for a man charged in the 2023 fatal shooting of an Air National Guardsman in Minot.
Daniel Breijo faces charges of murder, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment in the Christmas Eve 2023 shooting.
The deal called for Breijo to plead guilty to manslaughter, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment, and serve 20 years.
Judge Daniel El-Dweek rejected the plea deal despite support from the state and defense.
