NEWINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — A man was arrested Wednesday in Newington after he allegedly struck a police officer in March of this year, according to police.
The incident happened on March 19 at a Chick-fil-A drive-thru in Newington. Police said that the car had been failing to stop for traffic stop attempts in the days prior.
While the officers attempted to stop the vehicle, they said that the car intentionally drove towards a Newington police officer and struck them before fleeing the scene. The officer sustained minor injuries.
