SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A local pilot, Anthony Oshinuga from Valley Center, is an aerobatic and competitive air race pilot competing in the Pacific Airshow in Huntington Beach on Oct. 3-5.

Anthony flies a Pitts Special custom S-1S Aerobatic Biplane dubbed "Black Hawk."

Oshinuga made history in 2015 when he became the first African American to enter the Reno National Championship Air Race and earned a podium finish.

When he's not racing, Anthony is hosting scenic aerial tours above Southern California, as well as Temecula's wine country.

The local pilot joined KUSI in-studio to share his excitement for the upcoming show.
