One of the biggest differences when the Yukon’s Residential Tenancies Act and regulations took effect Sept. 1 involved changes to how the rent cap is calculated, according to a director involved in residential tenancies.

A requirement for compensation when ending a tenancy for certain reasons, a ban on no-cause evictions, a separate section related to mobile home rental agreements and pet deposits are among the changes that Yukoners can expect with the new rules rolling out.
