A jury on Thursday found a South Florida man guilty of second-degree murder in the killing of his ex-girlfriend in Miramar back in 2021.

After deliberations for nearly two days, jurors determined that Alfonso Dixon possessed a firearm, discharged the firearm and inflicted the death of Ashley Davis, who is also the mother of his children.

Dixon was charged with first-degree murder, but jurors convicted him of a lesser charge of second-degree murder.

Throughout the seven-day trial, jurors saw Ring doorbell footage of Dixon before and after the crime, but one video was played over and over in court, showing the moments Davis was shot and killed outside her friend's home in Miramar back in 2021.

Dixon’s own kids also testified that they saw their father shooting their mom.
