Connecticut and Rhode Island joined forces to help get work going again on a massive offshore wind project on Thursday.

About two weeks ago, the Trump administration ordered work to be temporarily stopped at Revolution Wind.

And now, Connecticut, Rhode Island and the project developer have filed lawsuits to allow crews to get back on the job.

“The president's action is utterly arbitrary and capricious. That's the legal language, which basically means it's bonkers. OK? Does it make any sense? What are you talking about? We're almost done,” William Tong (D – Attorney General) said.

The $4 billion project is about 80% finished and is expected to power 350,000 homes in Connecticut and Rhode Island starting next year.
