ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions added veteran offensive tackle Jamarco Jones to the practice report on Thursday.
Jones was listed as a limited participant with an ankle injury. He dealt with an ankle injury during training camp, too, but was not listed on the team’s first practice report of the season on Wednesday.
It should be noted that Jones is first in line to serve as the team’s third offensive tackle, which means he’s likely in the plans for those heavy-set formations. Dan Skipper, who has served in that role across the last three seasons, has not practiced this week. Skipper is back on the practice squad, so the Lions are not required to report his injury status.
