A local university is taking part in a program to address the shortage of workers familiar with the "cloud," and Artificial Intelligence.

Emerging Delaware and Wilmington University will create programs to prepare students for tech jobs, expected to be in high demand. There will also be opportunities for high school students to achieve credentials before graduation.

Programs will be offered through WILM- U's colleges of Business and Technology and Professional and Continuing Education. Emergeing Delaware, which focuses on workforce innovation, will take the lead in program design, technology support, and employer outreach.

The program begins in late October.
