A fire that started in the kitchen of a Wilmington row home left two people with minor injuries.
Wilmington firefighters responded to the 300 block of South Union Street just after 6:30 p.m. on September 4, 2025 to find a fire in the kitchen that was spreading throughout the first floor.
The two residents had already safely evacuated, and were treated on scene for smoke inhalation and minor burns, but refused to be taken to the hospital.
The fire was put under control in about 15 minutes.
About 35 fire & EMS personnel responded to the scene.
