HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - Joseph Lee Latendress was arrested by the Jones County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender.

According to JCSD, Latendress was living at an address in the 3300 block of Augusta Road in Jones County.

His official sex offender registration has his primary address as a home in Seminary.

Mississippi law requires all sex offenders to reregister when moving.

Latendress was arrested at the August Road address and booked into the Jones County Adult Detention Center at approximately 9:14 a.m. He is expected to make his initial appearance in Jones County Justice Court on Friday.
