Emerald ash borer makes it to Rutland

The emerald ash borer is finally in Rutland.

While the city has long-since cut down or treated all the municipal ash trees in anticipation of the invasive insect’s arrival, City Arborist Tim Smith said property owners with ash trees in their yards might want to think about taking their own precautions after it was confirmed to have been found in the city last month.
