STREETSBORO, Ohio — A former Streetsboro schools employee has been arrested on charges of trying to meet a teenager for sex.

Dash camera video obtained by 3News shows the moment Streetsboro police surrounded 31-year-old Brett Boardwine in a parking lot, where investigators say he thought he would be meeting up with a 15-year-old boy. Police Chief Patricia Wain says an undercover officer was posing online as a teen when Boardwine initiated a conversation.

"We had an officer that was working undercover online, and Mr. Boardwine initiated a conversation with the officer, who he was under the impression was a 15-year-old boy," Wain said.

Authorities say the conversation quickly turned inappropriate, and within a day, Boardwine arranged to meet the person he thought was a teenager.
