WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - A man has been charged after a weekend stabbing victim died from her injuries overnight.

According to the Wichita Police Department, officers were called to the 800 block of S. Fern St. just before 9 a.m. on Saturday for the report of a "cutting."

The victim, Elvera Langkiet, succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday night.

Isaiah Langkiet, 24, made his first appearance in court Thursday afternoon, where he was charged with first-degree murder.

His next court date is scheduled for Sept. 15, and his bond is set at $250,000.
