AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A trend of car burglaries has hit the city of Austin's park system over the last several weeks.

The Austin Police Department said it's "actively addressing" the incidents and has "made significant strides" in identifying and apprehending the suspects involved. But APD needs the community's help finding more people police believe are involved in the burglaries.

"In recent weeks, our dedicated patrol shifts and investigative units have made significant strides in identifying and apprehending suspects involved in these offenses, resulting in several successful arrests. However, we need your help in our continued efforts to combat this issue," APD said in a press release Thursday.
