BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Should you get a flu, COVID or RSV vaccine this year? We spoke to the Vermont Health Department to find out.

They say recommendations for the flu and RSV are the same as last year, but a CDC convention on coronavirus in two weeks will determine COVID vaccine recommendations.

Officials say infants, immunocompromised adults over 50, and all adults 75 and over should get an RSV vaccine.

And they say everyone 6 months and older should get a flu shot.

“It’s our best defense against getting sick. The one thing I would say about COVID vaccines recommendations is even though there’s confusion with the actual recommendations-- we’re still waiting for official guidance-- the science hasn’t changed,” said Merideth Plumpton of the Vermont Health Department.
