OMAHA, Neb. —

The Henry Doorly Zoo announced on Thursday that one of the flamingo chicks has died.

According to a Facebook post, the zoo had "multiple concerns" regarding the overall health of one of the three chicks that hatched in July.

Due to the concerns, the zoo decided to assist the chick "in a peaceful passing."

The other two chicks are thriving and have been interacting with each other as well as the adult flamingos.
