LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The Laredo Boys and Girls Club is set to receive a big boost when it comes to funding.

The City of Laredo had officials approve the boost at their recent board meeting. The maximum contribution is set at $250,000 over the next three years.

The boys and girls club sees about 70 to 100 kids at each club location and that number happens to continue to grow every year.

Right now, after school programs within the school district have seen budget cuts this year, so this happens to be a huge step for the city to grant and award this kind of money for the program.
