TROUSDALE COUNTY, Tenn. (WSMV) - A driver is facing multiple charges after he reportedly swerved his vehicle toward a deputy during a pursuit on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Trousdale County Sheriff’s Department.

TCSD responded to Highway 25 East after the Smith County Sheriff’s Office reported they were pursuing a black Mustang with Kentucky tags.

Deputies were positioned at Lattie Reese Road to intercept the fleeing vehicle. As the Mustang approached the location, a deputy attempted to deploy a spike strip.

The driver can then be seen on dashcam video swerving toward the deputy and accelerating.
