NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Hermitage clinic that serves hundreds of patients with complex intellectual and developmental disorders is set to close at the end of the month. Families say this is devastating as it’s the only healthcare option of its kind in Tennessee.
The Kramer Davis Clinic provides both primary, dental, and psychiatric care to about 650 patients across the state. Patients often travel for up to four hours to reach the clinic, which they say is uniquely equipped to treat people with special needs.
It has specially trained staff, sensory rooms, and wheelchair equipped services to name a few.
Leigh Ankney said her son Noah hadn’t received dental care for years until she found the clinic.
“We had been turned away because Noah is not the easiest patient for dentistry,” sh
