LINCOLN, Neb. —

Nebraska is ready for its first home game of the season against Akron this Saturday night. Fans are reminded that all tickets for the games this fall are mobile, with the Better Business Bureau warning of potential scams.

Josh Planos, the vice president of communications for the BBB, said, "Unfortunately, all tickets with a digital barcode look very, very similar, and so it's very easy to be duped by convincing lookalikes and things that are not legitimate."

Planos said there are risks and warning signs to consider.

"Social media is rocket fuel for scams," he said, adding that more than a dozen ticket-related scams have been reported in the region since the start of 2025.
