MORRIS, MINN. — The University of Jamestown mounted a second half comeback to get a 4-3 win over the University of Minnesota Morris on Thursday, Sept. 4, at the Cougars’ Cougar Field.
The Cougars (1-1) got off to a fast start when Jake Anargyros scored 1:25 into the game to give his team a 1-0 lead. The hosts added another goal in the 26th minute when Aaron Mackall scored to push the lead out to 2-0.
The Jimmies (1-0) were able to get off the snide in the 30th minute when Jake Simson scored to bring the deficit to within one goal at 2-1. Later in the opening half, Simson scored his second goal of the day to knot the score up at two.
Early in the second half, the Cougars were able to reclaim the lead at 3-2 before Simson completed the hat trick to once again tie the game up at 3 in the 6
