HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu Police Department has opened an arson investigation related to a structure fire in Waianae.
According to HPD, an unknown male suspect set fire to items in an abandoned residence around 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, causing interior and structural damage.
Honolulu firefighters responded and to the scene and extinguished the fire.
The fire department determined that the fire was intentionally set and confirmed the cause of the fire was arson.
No other details have been released about the suspect other than gender.
No arrests have been made and an investigation is underway.
