KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) - Several new Texas laws went into effect this week and among them, a ban on nearly all vaping devices.

That’s right Senate Bill 2024 took effect on September first and it effectively bans disposable e-cigarettes, or vapes, in the state.

A move the owner here at Smokeex in Killeen tells me is devastating to his business.

Edgar Ramirez opened Smokeex smoke shop back in March.

“I’ve always liked this type of stuff,” said Ramirez. “I’ve never enjoyed working and I’m a family man, and this pays the bills so much easier than just working at Red Lobster like I used to.”

The product he sells the most is disposable vapes that contain nicotine nut now it’s mostly illegal.
