MADISON (WKOW) -- Democratic state lawmakers introduced a package of bills on Thursday that they say will improve Wisconsin's economy and strengthen the middle class.

They say economic progress depends on fair wages, safe workplaces and good paying jobs.

Sixty democrats have signed on to the four bills.

"Really, all of it just comes down to fairness," said Stephanie Bloomingdale, President of WI AFL-CIO. "It comes down to fairness in allowing workers to achieve good wages with strong union rights, and making sure that we can have an economy that works for Wisconsin workers."

The bills would repeal Right to Work, forcing those who want union representation to pay dues; reinstate prevailing wages, providing workers with at least minimum wage and overtime; restore project labor agreements
