BOSTON (WWLP) - Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey announced a new three-step plan to ensure residents maintain access to vaccines, regardless of potential federal policy changes.
The initiative aims to safeguard public health by making vaccines more accessible across the state.
The plan, supported by state leadership and the Department of Public Health (DPH), involves requiring insurance companies to cover vaccines recommended by the Department of Public Health, even if they are not recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
It also includes making COVID-19 vaccines available at pharmacies and establishing a multi-state collaborative to coordinate responses to federal changes.
Secretary of Public Health Robbie Goldstein emphasized the importance of vaccines,
