A woman was charged with arson after she attempted suicide inside her Middletown mobile home that caught fire last week , police said in court documents.
Drew Mehalick-Headley, 29, of Middletown, was charged with two counts of arson, risking catastrophe and aggravated cruelty to animals, according to court documents filed by Middletown police.
The fire was reported around 4:30 a.m. on Aug. 27 in the 100 block of Caravan Court at Harborton Estates, police said.
An affidavit of probable cause written by police said Mehalick-Headley made statements to the fire marshal that she started the fire. The exact cause of the fire, however, was not outlined in the affidavit.
