LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Organizers say a project is designed to showcase art and create a path for creativity across Lake Charles.

Today at a ribbon cutting, the ribbon came down, and a redesigned Ten Pin Alley was unveiled in downtown Lake Charles with new artwork, including three Gators on the Geaux.

The alley, located behind the Cathedral Church, has a history dating to the fire of 1910 that leveled much of Lake Charles.

Payton Lundmark, director of cultural affairs for Lake Charles, explains the history.

“The church pledged the land, so that they could finish the cathedral after all the damage, and after that it was used by local businesses as a passageway for deliveries, infiltrate workers, and now it is a connection between the historic city hall and our current city hall, and
