It didn’t take for chaos to erupt in the Philadelphia Eagles season opener against the Dallas Cowboys. Things really got heated quickly when Jalen Carter was ejected for spitting on Dak Prescott in the first drive of the game.

This NFC East rivalry is steeped in hatred, but Carter needs to make better decisions. He was expected to make a big jump this season, and getting sidelined just a few minutes into the game is not the way to contribute. The Eagles need Carter on the field to be as dominant as they were last year, and something like this is unnecessary.

Now, the Eagles will have to switch up their defensive rotation and rely a bit more on depth guys early on.

Hopefully this is a learning experience for Carter because there are plenty of other ways to hassle an opponent that doesn’t
