WATERTOWN — It's going to be a bit before the home opener for Watertown High School's girls tennis team is complete.
The Arrows, off to a 3-5 start in duals, lost to defending state runner-up Sioux Falls Lincoln 8-1 and were in the midst of playing another dual against Sioux Falls Jefferson when a late afternoon rain shower halted play on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025, at the Highland Park Courts.
Jefferson won two of the three doubles matches in third-set tiebreakers and the two teams were playing singles matches, which will be completed at a later date.
"Against Lincoln, I thought every one played well and they continue to get better with every match," Watertown coach Ryan Zink said. "Lincoln is a very tough team, but I liked how we competed."
Watertown has only one other scheduled home eve
