PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Eagles fever was on full display for Thursday's season opener: from a giant Eagles flag at the top of the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps to banners along Broad Street.

The city was abuzz with excitement as the Eagles got ready to face the Dallas Cowboys for the season-opening game.

"It's a great day to be alive in Philly," said Eagles fan Bethany Day, who drove to Philadelphia from Pensacola Florida, with her husband to go to the game.

Fans hit the Eagles Pro Shop at Lincoln Financial Field, lining up for gear to wear to the game.

"It's great, it brings us all together and it's fun," said Anna Simms Alexander as she stood in the line with her brother, two sisters and mom and dad.
