HOUSTON -- Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. exited Thursday night’s game against the Astros with what was announced as contusions in both knees, suffered on separate plays.
Chisholm’s left knee collided with the helmet of a sliding Jose Altuve when Chisholm tagged Altuve out on a stolen base attempt to end the third inning.
It wasn't immediately clear how Chisholm's right knee was injured.
Chisholm batted in the fourth and struck out swinging against Cristian Javier but was replaced in the bottom of the inning by José Caballero.
