SHREVEPORT, La. — The Shreveport Regional Arts Council is asking for public support to secure a multi-year grant that would fund a free, outdoor concert series in downtown Shreveport.

The arts council has advanced to the public voting phase for a $120,000 grant from the Levitt Foundation, a national organization that supports free outdoor concerts across the country. The grant would fund a Levitt Music Series, which would provide 7-10 free concerts annually at the Caddo Common Park Pavilion.

The proposed concert series would feature a diverse lineup of local and national artists spanning various music genres, including rock, pop, R&B, jazz, hip-hop, and gospel.

The public can vote for Shreveport’s proposal online at levitt.org/vote or by texting the keyword SHREVEPORT to 877-409-5525.
