Arlington police determined that a report about a man in black grabbing an 11-year-old boy was unfounded, the Arlington Police Department said Thursday.

Following an investigation where police interviewed the reporting party and several potential witnesses, including residents and business owners, police also reviewed surveillance footage, Police Chief Julie Flaherty said in a statement released Thursday.

"The investigation is now closed, as the department has determined that there is insufficient evidence to support further investigative action," Flaherty wrote.

The boy told police the incident happened around 3:10 p.m. Tuesday when he was walking home from a convenience store on Broadway, Flaherty said in a previous police statement. As he walked, the boy was approached by a four-do
