LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Michigan State University board of trustees held a closed-door meeting Thursday for stakeholder, including faculty staff students and alumni.

The meeting was required under revised university by laws approved by the board in December.

It replaces a September board meeting with a stakeholder engagement forum.

The board says its goal was to engage with the Spartan community on a variety of topics, like student health, community outreach, research, infrastructure and technology.

The event was invite-only with 60 participants. The press was not allowed inside.
