COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 29-year-old man was found dead inside a semitrailer Wednesday morning that had crashed on Interstate 270 South in west Columbus, authorities say.
A preliminary investigation by the Columbus Division of Police found that the semi hit a guardrail and came to a stop.
Upon arrival at around 10:05 a.m., an officer reportedly found an unresponsive driver who was slouched between both front seats.
According to the Franklin County Coroner's Office, Hassan Mohamed was pronounced dead in a semi at 10:34 a.m.
Video from a freeway camera showed the semi came to rest at 8:01 p.m. the previous night, according to police. It's unclear if Mohamed's death was caused by the crash.
