(KRON) -- A pizzeria in San Jose's Japantown closes after six years on N 6th Street, the business announced in a social media post this week. Jtown Pizza has closed "indefinitely" on Thursday, Sept. 4.

Jtown Pizza cited "financial hardships" as the main reason for closure. Although it said the closure is indefinite, the business did not appear to indicate any plans to reopen Jtown Pizza elsewhere.

"This decision was not made lightly. Despite our best efforts, ongoing financial hardships have made it impossible for Dipsomania Inc. to continue Jtown Pizza's operations," the pizzeria's owner wrote in part. "While Jtown Pizza's chapter is closing, we hope to continue the friendships and connections we've built with you at our (other establishments)..."
