SHREVEPORT, La. — The Caddo Parish Commission is considering a $10 million proposal to build a tournament-level pickleball park in Southeast Shreveport.

If approved, the Caddo Parish Pickleball Park would be located on East Flournoy Lucas Road behind the Lash Family YMCA. The project calls for a championship-sized court with seating for 1,000, 19 regulation courts, a 6,000-square-foot clubhouse, walking trails and parking for 500 vehicles.

The facility would be funded through revenue bonds which can only be used on projects that generate revenue for the parish.

Officials say money raised from court fees, tournaments and a pro shop would be used to repay the bonds. Usage fees are expected to range from $10 to $12 per person, per hour.
