A Rockford exhibit took residents back to the Cretaceous period only for a limited time.
“I thought that it was a good idea to come and bring him here,” shared Mariana Castaneda.
At the Rockford Park District's Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens, Castaneda brought her family to the Dinosaurs of the Forgotten Forest, walking through prehistoric mammals and plants.
“My son, he loves dinosaurs and he’s reading about the dinosaurs,” explained Casteneda.
Every summer, the Conservatory rotates through different themes. Assistant Conservatory manager Lyndi Toohilo said the exhibit was a year-long process from design to installation.
