BARNWELL, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A man arrested in Barnwell for attempted murder now has upgraded charges.

The Barnwell County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged Joseph Samarco with attempted murder, armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime on July 1.

During August, Samarco’s charges were upgraded to murder due to the victim, Tobias Kelly, dying from the shooting in Barnwell County.
