PHOENIX — Scottsdale police are searching for a man accused of killing a 67-year-old man in his home in a "targeted attack," a press release from the department said.
Police responded to a home near 68th Street and McDowell Road on Sept. 1 for a welfare check and forced their way inside after they were unable to contact the victim, identified as Frank Quaranta, who was found dead inside, police said.
Detectives identified Matthew Dieringer, 35, as a suspect in the murder. Officials are currently searching for Dieringer and said he should not be approached if seen. 911 should be called immediately, officials said.
Dieringer is 6'3, 185 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.
